Chimp Beams express their psychedelic but laidback sounds by using vibraphone, guitar, and echo
on top of break beats. They play a mix of dub, jazz, techno, rare groove, soul, funk, and ethnic music, all with their own personal interpretation. Having been greatly influenced by artists such as Jah Shaka, Massive Attack, and Basic Channel, they have successfully created their original dark sound style by using various instruments together with samplers. Their first album "Vibrato" has a number of elaborately arranged high quality songs: from jazzy and chill out to aggressive. With a new style of music where dark break beats melt into traditional musical instruments, Chimp Beams made waves in the music scene.
